I used to be registered with another of the old family vets in the area. Unfortunately (like many others) that vets was eventually taken over by a big, faceless company & prices began to rise drastically. My pet requires medication to manage allergies, by 2025 the tablets I was paying for had a whopping mark-up of 3512.5%. This meant that instead of paying 8p per tablet, I was paying £2.89 per tablet. This began to make accessing treatment for my dog prohibitive. I tried shopping around with the newer vet clinics that have popped up in the area and found that they're all largely run in the same way; massive markups, big fees, impersonal care & incentivised to sell things. I decided to make an appointment with Dr Ross based on family & friend recommendations. I am so glad that I did. Dr Ross' approach to care is professional and pet focused. When I paid the bill, which included the consultation & medications it was a lot less than I was expecting. I almost felt like it was a mistake! I'm incredibly thankful to Dr Ross for his no-nonsense service. I find his direct way of communicating extremely refreshing & he always gives sound advice. I now recommend Dr Ross & Cambridge Road Veterinary Clinic to all of my friends, family and strangers whenever they're wondering where to go with their pets.

Dr Ross is a no nonsense vet of the old school, the animals are first and foremost and not a bank balance, fairly priced and you don't get overly priced medication, I live in Eastham and would rather visit him than the four local vets that are vying each other for the being the most expensive.

I recently acquired a rescue dog. She is a little French Bulldog called Olive. I got an appointment at the vets.i has completely got the time wrong but Mr Ross saw her anyway, even though he was about to go home. Looking forward to a successful treatment journey.
