Sorry its a long one 😳 I honestly don’t think I will ever be able to put into words how grateful I am to everyone at Northwest Veterinary Specialists for everything they have done for my boy, Spike. When I first spoke to Jess after Spike’s accident I was already incredibly worried because he has a heart tumour, and the thought of him needing treatment and potentially undergoing anaesthesia was terrifying. Then, on top of everything we were already dealing with, Spike suffered his traumatic leg fracture. It was an absolutely heartbreaking and frightening time, and I genuinely didn’t know what the future was going to look like for him. Jess automatically sprung into action and spoke to Rebecca and got Spike sorted and put my mind at ease. From the moment we arrived, the team treated Spike with so much kindness, patience and compassion. They understood that he wasn’t just a patient on a treatment sheet — he is my family, my best friend and a huge part of my life. They also understood how frightened I was, particularly because of his heart condition, and they took the time to explain everything to me, answer my endless questions and reassure me whenever I was struggling. The veterinary team were incredible. I will never forget the care they gave Spike and the way they handled such a complicated situation. Knowing that his heart tumour made things more complicated made every decision feel terrifying, but I always felt that Spike was in safe hands. They treated him as an individual and carefully considered his existing health problems rather than simply looking at the fracture in isolation. The nursing team were absolutely amazing too. They showed Spike so much love and patience, and I could tell that he was genuinely cared for while he was there. Knowing that someone was looking after him when I couldn't be beside him meant more to me than they probably realise. I also want to mention the receptionists, finance team and insurance team. During what was one of the most stressful periods of my life, every interaction I had with Northwest was met with kindness and understanding. When you are already terrified about your pet's health, there is so much information, paperwork, insurance and financial worry to deal with, and having people who are patient and compassionate makes such a difference. There were moments when I was absolutely terrified that I might lose my boy. Spike has been part of my life for ten years, and I cannot imagine my world without him. The team at Northwest understood how much he means to me, and that meant everything. I know to the staff he may have been one patient among many, but to me he is my whole world. ❤️ Thank you to every single person at Northwest Veterinary Specialists who played a part in caring for Spike — from the vets and nurses to the reception, finance and insurance teams. Thank you for not only caring for Spike medically, but for caring about us as a family and helping me through one of the most frightening times of my life. I will always be incredibly grateful for everything you have done for my boy and everything you continue to do. ❤️🐾 Thank you so much

Excellent, friendly, professional and caring.

Avoid at all costs. We were referred to this clinic with the impression that an MRI would be carried out. Instead, the young vet named- C.O., decided to do an X-ray, which showed nothing, and only then mentioned an MRI. We paid almost £200 for the consultation, during which he was showing us a brace for our dog’s leg on Amazon, despite the fact that this option had already been clearly ruled out both at the previous appointment and in the X-ray report. We ended up having an MRI done at another clinic on the very same day as our first visit, only to discover that our dog had a tumour. We lost a huge amount of money, experienced an enormous amount of unnecessary stress, and, most importantly, we lost precious time. This was an extremely distressing experience, and we deeply regret not going elsewhere from the start.

Easy to find straight of motorway , very very friendly towards humans & pets. Referral & appointment made very quickly & process easy. Every step is explained

Poor discharge experience appt was 4pm, only got my cat back at 4.50pm! If I was that late I suspect they wouldn't be impressed!

We would just like to say a massive thank you to all the team at the practice for everything that you have done for Mali over the last few days! and especially to Serena and the team that operated on her, without you we would have had a completely different story to tell, we can't tell you what it means that you were able to make sure that we got to bring our girl back home!

Th staff here were all really lovely and very professional, the service we recieved was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

Dora passed away in her sleep before her diagnosis. The specialist we were speaking to was Rebecca and she was fabulous at her job she examined Dora's paw and within minutes we had a full plan of action. I would certainly recommend Northwest Vet Specialist. Her younger still misses her alot❤️ (the one on the right)

Looked after Artie really well when he injured his knee. Provided physio aftercare for us to do at home.

From the first phone call from reception staff to the consultation and aftercare the service has been fantastic. My dog was admitted for a full 8 hours of tests and he came out happy, clean and well looked after. Results followed a few days after and all communication has been quick and clear. A big thank you to Harry and all the Nursing team who looked after Dexter.
