I was getting worried about a skin condition that had inflamed on my cat and I was able to get an appointment for the next day. The vet was very friendly, sympathetic and helpful. She explained everything clearly and gave me great advice😁. Thanks again from Felix 🐈‍⬛

I took my dog Ambrose to see Mairead yesterday at Broom cottage, our regular vets, and I hadn’t met her before and was very pleased we did. Mairead was thorough and very gentle with Ambrose who was in pain and very frightened. I mentioned he needed a few things extra doing but we would rebook but she did it all there and then. We were very grateful. All the vets at the cottage are lovely as is Lucy who I didn’t get to see, she is particularly good at doing nails. Overall it’s the best vets around. I have been going for years, since my cat was alive, when she passed away they sent me a card which I will never forget ❤️

After years of using Broom Cottage for my 2 Westies, I have had no choice but to move to Woodcroft today due to poor service and Revenue focus. We would usually see Katie Head Vet and Practice Manager, who sadly I was told has left the organisation, but it does make a lot of sense now, as it appears standards have slipped. This is the 2nd time we have met with a newer albeit underwhelming Vet, who on both occasions appears to be more focussed about increasing revenue than animal care. It was recommended on both previous visits, in a very “rehearsed” speech fashion, that both dogs require dental procedures to clean their teeth, then followed the scare mongering speech, that if left, they may need extractions ( 1 dog is 6 years old). First time around, I did request a quotation and never received this on email as promised, when I did say I hadn’t received it, the response was rather clipped “I’m surprised as known around here for my diligence”. Furthermore, I was then told they were overweight which can lead to arthritis and other health complications. The Vet was about to administer the booster and kennel cough, when I mentioned my dog had been itching her ears, the vet looked and said she had a severe ear infection and I would need to rebook ANOTHER consultation as that would fall into another consult fee and the appointment today was for boosters only. Absolutely stunned, a vet practice confirming your pet has a severe ear infection, however can’t treat today, so we have to rebook another day as it’s another consultation/fee? Revenue focus over care by this particular Vet. We’ve always thought the receptionists, nurses, other vets we’ve met over the years have been wonderful, it’s a real shame.

The staff at Broom Cottage are so reliable, friendly and helpful. Our lil cat, Ico, has been really poorly recently and they have been so patient, caring and reassuring with him and with us. We really have appreciated their efforts and kindness as he means the absolute world to us. We feel we can trust them with our most precious little boy. It's been overwhelming for us recently but they have taken the time to explain everything and all options to us thoroughly and have worked with us to get him on the road to recovery. Thank you everyone at Broom Cottage for being so wondeful.

This is a lovely veterinary surgery. All the staff are warm and friendly, which helps to put my somewhat nervous cat at ease. He doesn't even seem to fear his visits to the vets, and I'm sure this is down to the staff and their attitude towards animals. They offer helpful advice to any problems or issues, which is always so welcome. Thanks for caring for my Billy.
