My dog is a very nervous rescue dog. I was quite anxious about her first visit to the vets as to how it would affect her. I needn't have worried. The whole experience was perfect. We waited outside as prearranged and Luke the vet came out and brought us through once he was available. Luke was very calm and lovely with her and she was quite relaxed as a result, he managed to complete all of the checks that were required and she wasn't phased by it at all. The receptionist was also very good and looked after us very well, the whole atmosphere was very welcoming purely due to the staff. I will feel very relaxed now about any future visits.

Compassion and care are the two things you need from a vet and the team at Heswall have this in bucketloads. You are unlikely to be seen on time and the waiting area, although comfy is not swanky, but non of that matters, because they really care about all animals and their owners. We lost our beautiful dog earlier this year, we knew it was coming and had booked the vets to come to the house for our final farewell. Unfortunately illness does not stick to a plan and our girl went down hill drastically the day before the appointment. We thought we would have to take her to the surgery instead they moved appointments and managed to get to us within the hour. They were so gentle with her and patient with us. They did not rush us to say goodbye, even though they had other clients waiting (sorry!). So happy we moved to them when we did.

The dogs seemed to enjoy vets company not even a growl. Thank you

Having noticed a young seagull in distress on my drive, and after trying numerous charities, I was directed to Medivet, by 'HelpWildlife.co.uk' The vets at Medivet were superb. They agreed to look after the little gull, and assured me next day that after painkillers and a checkup, would be sent to their partners for rehabilitation before release into the wild. An amazing practice. Thanks to all involved.

So thankful this place was able to see a pigeon that turned up at our bird feeder injured; we supported it as best we could over the weekend trying to find someone with the skills as it was clear 'lil Shuffle needed medical attention. We're really hoping for a happy ending and rooting for the guy. Bless his little heart ❤️
