Cheshire Pet, located in Holmes Chapel, is a highly-rated veterinary clinic with a 4.7-star rating from 285 reviews on Google Maps, indicating a strong reputation in the community. The clinic distinguishes itself as a veterinary nurse training facility and offers emergency veterinary services, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive pet care and education.
Customer feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with numerous reviewers praising the friendly and professional staff. A specific mention goes to Christian, noted for his expertise with exotic pets, which suggests a particular strength in this area of veterinary care.
However, not all experiences have been positive. A critical review from K M raises concerns about the clinic's focus on insurance over pet needs and dissatisfaction with how a dental procedure for their dog was handled. This review underscores the importance of transparent communication and thorough examinations, which are essential in maintaining client trust.

The clinic's dedication to both routine and emergency care, along with specialized knowledge in exotic pet care, positions it as a valuable resource for pet owners in Holmes Chapel.

More focus on the insurance cover we have. Rather, than the actual need of the dog. They started with a dental scale and polish and then rang saying extraction was needed before they even examined our dog. We collected him before they could operate as we were so upset by their actions. Our dog has been a fully paid-up member of their pet health club since 2018. Which, if he'd had a proper examination every 6 months as promised, how would our dogs teeth have gotten so bad? The vet nurse who initially met us was so disinterested in our dog. She didn't even come over to help us weigh him. Or, see what he actually weighed. Then never shut the door once in the consultation room and just spoke about costs, and then carried on saying that he was prone to a cardiac arrest as being put to sleep was too much strain on him. No thank you guys. That's just not how to deal with customers and their pets. Second opinion elsewhere: teeth fine. Scale and polish wouldn't hurt, but not necessary. Avoid.
