My elderly cat Ginge was seen by Kacper yesterday for issues relating to his worsening arthritis. Ginge was very aggressive during the consultation and Kacper remained really calm and soothing with him, despite being bitten and attacked with claws several times. Hats off to Kacper. Thank you.

Great vets who care about your animals

I sadly had to have my cat put down which naturally for any pet owner is one of the hardest things to do. The staff during this time couldn’t of been anymore supportive and helpful they answered every question I had and made me feel like I was making the right decision and once the procedure was done they allowed me to stay for as long as I needed to say my goodbyes never once did they make me feel rushed. When I collected my cats ashes they were presented so respectfully along with a sympathy card and some beautiful paw prints, something I’ll cherish forever. Thank you for the care you’ve given Bear and the continued care for my other cats.

Good selection of pet products

We recently had our Ragdoll kitten spayed at this practice. As first-time cat parents, we arranged a meeting beforehand to understand the full procedure and ask questions. During that consultation, the vet nurse specifically mentioned that for Ragdolls they usually perform the surgery from underneath (rather than the side) to avoid any potential difference in fur colour showing on the top coat, as this breed can sometimes regrow darker fur at the incision site. However, on the day of the surgery, we were told they would be doing the incision from the side and that it “doesn’t matter.” We felt reassured at the time, but now that our kitten’s fur is growing back, we can clearly see dark grey hair in the area where she previously had cream fur. Naturally, this has left us feeling quite upset and confused. Had this not been mentioned in the initial consultation, we may not have thought much of it, but since it was raised by the nurse herself, we don’t understand why the approach changed and why our earlier concerns were dismissed. We appreciate the care our kitten received, but we do feel communication and consistency could have been better. As first-time owners, trust and clarity are extremely important to us.

The practice were fantastic and without a doubt saved the life of my son and his girlfriend’s dog. Their professional response to his emergency treatment was faultless and we cannot thank them enough.

The best around. Our dog was rushed in for a medical emergency recently and the care, professionalism and service they provided, truly was lifesaving. Our dog only survived due to their appropriate quick action and dedication to their clients. Their support post surgery has been nothing but exceptional. To the whole to team, we are very grateful!

The only reason there is a one star is because previously I have had good interactions with friendly staff. Today upon reading the other 1 * reviews which have given a poor review, I was extremely unsurprised at the replies given in response, by the " manager/ - owner" of this branch. It seems like quite poor customer service and a lack of empathy, which is what I experienced yesterday is not a one off. With it being the closest branch to Macclesfield, it has been the easiest option to use it as a vets practise over the previous 4 years. Although some reception staff seem to be exceptional, unfortunately the service is not consistent. It is not what I experienced yesterday.my mother and I have paid into the pet plan for the past 4 years without any issues. Unfortunately one has passed and one is undergoing radiotherapy. When I explain to the receptionist in person, after recieving a message to say it was time to administer the treatment, She advised me I have to order it over the phone. I continued that because I have to care for my mother who has seizures 24/7 and it's difficult for me to make the 45-minute journey. Would it be possible as a one-off to have the medication which they had in stock? If I had realised I would have ordered it first. They advised me that they had a medical emergency, which I understood. But I also on this occasion and under stressful circumstances I asked if, as a one-off, I could have the medication signed off. I even said I could stay around for the next hour as I had a neighbour staying. The reluctant attitude of the receptionist did go and ask the store manager after I appealed, weather it would be possible under the circumstances to sign off the flea and worm treatment. When the manager came out I explained that my mother was undergoing radiotherapy and I needed help to get the flea and wormer as it is almost impossible to make the trip down and I had misunderstood that you had to pre-order. Probably from all the stress I have been under. I understand they don't have to do this. I also understand they had a medical emergency in the back which they explained to me several times. Between the receptionists, the veterinarians, the veterinary nurses and the support staff, I was surprised that somebody couldn't take a moment within a 2-hour period to sign them off. I also asked at the time, if it was possible to buy them separately, which apparently you cannot. They can only be vet supplied and not bought in store. Upon explaining my mum's condition and explaining she was going through radiotherapy and I was extremely tired and just really needed some help. The store manager replied. I have been through that too and just stared at me. I felt very belittled and also very upset. As I walked away I heard them laughing. I was by myself and I had three people, two receptionists and one manager being very unreasonable. I felt very intimidated as a customer. Absolutely disgusted! Also, now we are running late on the flea and worming, surely empathy for the pet if not for the human

Always helpful and friendly. Have used them for 5 years. Just had our booster injections. The vet so calm and caring.
