The team at Behaviour Referrals have all been fantastic. The support we have had for dog is outstanding. Vets and rehab team have helped our family with our dog so much and he has improved significantly. Also find the operations team very helpful when called the practice. Highly recommend this professional team.

I used this amazing service for my dog who suffers from severe separation anxiety and over the 18months we worked together, they have transformed my dog. It's not been easy, but theyve been there every step of the way, teaching me how to behave with my dog, providing step by step guidance on what to do and providing the medical knowledge to go with the bhavioural knowledge to add medication into the mix to ensure my dog had a plan bespoke to her. I had tried dealing with the issue myself for three years and got nowhere (I could leave my dog for a rocky 5mins without her melting down), and now I can leave her for an hour without any meltdowns which has transformed my life as well as my dogs. I wish I'd used these guys sooner. There's no sugar coating the fact it's pricey, but you get what you pay for in life and these guys (especially Laura F and Ruth) are absolute pros and lovely and supportive to work with. I've mentioned the name to a few vets and everyone has replied 'oh yeah they're the best', and I agree. Thank you to everyone for your help and support x

We have 2 male pugs who we got as pups from the same litter. Unfortunately after having no issues at all both dogs became very aggressive to each other and we tried everything we could to stop it constantly happening with no luck so our vet referred us to Behavioural Referrals.We had 2 online zoom appointments and one home appointment. All very helpful, positive and friendly with lots of information and ways to help with the dogs behaviour along with follow up emails asking how things were going and if we had any questions etc.Every email we sent was answered promptly. It is a specialist service so can be costly but we claimed through our insurance which helped towards the cost .The dogs have improved, they are a lot calmer ,(still aggressive to each other but a lot less reactive ), their issue is not an overnight fix and we already knew this but with all the help ,guidance and advice put in place we felt it has been worthwhile experience. The communication from the whole team has been very positive and helpful and supportive. Thanks agin for all your help with Gus and Vinny.

This is not a place I would recommend going to. Horrendously overpriced and were just interested in getting money rather than actually helping my dog. We’re just given leaflets. My dog had an operation and they made no contact over three months to ask how she was doing, and only then contacted us when we were due to pay another ridiculously overpriced payment to stay on their books. Have discharged back under our local vet who bends over backwards to help in any way she can.

We honestly cannot thank Carrie and the clinic enough for their care and support. Our cat had developed extremely severe aggressive behaviour towards us. She would attack us viciously and unpredictably, and we had reached a point where we felt completely hopeless. We were heartbroken and genuinely considering giving away a much-loved member of our family because we simply didn’t know what else to do. We had been told that a behaviourist might be able to help, but at the time that didn’t mean much to us. We thought: how much can anyone really do when the situation feels this far gone? Then Carrie came in. She spent several hours with us, observing, listening, asking incredibly thoughtful and thorough questions, and really taking the time to understand our cat, our home, and the full situation. She was calm, caring, deeply present, and never made us feel judged. Her recommendations and insights gave us a completely new understanding of what was happening and what we could change. The difference has been honestly remarkable. Our cat is doing so much better and has pretty much stopped attacking us. It feels like we have our family member back. Carrie and the clinic helped us when we had almost lost hope, and we are deeply grateful for their patience, expertise and kindness. I would highly recommend them to anyone struggling with their cat’s behaviour.

The staff were very helpful & the vets themselves but I found that unless we reached out for support, we was just left - they are very expensive and I felt like we was just getting told that all our issues may be sorted with pain relief medication which I didn’t feel comfortable doing, we wanted face to face training. Ruth was very helpful when we needed support over the phone but I just feel for the price you pay I expected regular training sessions & interaction with the dog themselves. It is only when you reach out to the team you get a teams call or an invite to the site with no training it is just conversation with them not interacting with the dog what so ever - I just felt for the price is not worth it and so we decided to discharge our dog from under the care as we was throwing money away just to be told to give him pain medication which is not what we wanted to do , there was no proper training sessions with our dog one to one, they never even interacted with our dog the whole time we was under them.
