Bollington Vets Ltd is described on its website as a family-owned independent small-animal practice operating from a purpose-built, modern clinic. Evidence from the site and reviews suggests it handles routine consultations through to investigations and surgery, and that it also supports admin-heavy processes such as pet travel paperwork (one reviewer specifically mentions help “by email and in person” to prepare a dog for travel). Recent reviews contain a clear split: several owners describe strong communication and follow-up (including a vet checking in after a serious case and quick referral), while two latest low-rated reviews describe nail-clipping visits that resulted in bleeding and distressed animals, with the owners saying the response lacked empathy.

Very disappointed, the vet clipped his dew claws too much and it made them bleed. Absolutely no apologies or empathy about the distress caused to an already distressed rescue dog with severe anxiety. An utterly heart breaking experience.

My wife took our 2 Guinea Pigs for nail clipping this morning. The reason for the visit was we didn't want to risk doing it ourselves yet as they are still relatively young. We wanted to make sure it was done professionally as we have spent a lot of time getting them to feel comfortable around us and trust us. They got taken into the back and after a prolonged period my wife was told the reason for the delay was because the staff were waiting for the bleeding to stop on one of the Guinea Pigs. That Guinea Pig was shaking when returned to us. Now that she has been back home for a few hours she is still hiding inside her little house and refusing food. She's clearly completely traumatised and I don't blame her. This experience was completely unacceptable. Absolute disgrace, we will not be returning. Now for us to try and get them to trust us again thanks to Bollington Veterinary Centre!!!!!

Can’t fault the practice! The staff are lovely. I have two rescue cats, one of which is very very timid, but the nurses / vets are brilliant with her. She went in for an all-day procedure the other day. I hated leaving her but I know for sure she was well looked after and comforted throughout the day. Shout out to the lovely friendly reception staff too 🩵

Ella at Bollington Vets - I can not thank you enough for all the assistance you have given and the information by email and in person. You have helped us get Lola on her way to Australia- such a stressful process but you made me feel at ease (and Lola too!). Highly recommend 👌 ❤️

Cannot fault their professionalism, compassion and caring nature. They saved my puppy’s life by diagnosing and referring quickly. Having joined from previously using another local vet I’m confident I’ve made the right choice. Every member of staff I’ve encountered has been wonderful. Claire the Vet has kept in touch to check on Bobby and his progress. I can’t wait to bring him back in to show them how well he is now doing.

These guys have looked after my 3 little furry babies over the years. They all came from Windyways. Excellent Carr and understanding of owners feelings about their pets.

Bollington vets are brilliant and super friendly, they are brilliant with my xl bully Creed. I was very cautious after the ban about taking Creed to the vets due to him being judged (i'd heard a lot of bad things about xl bullys and vets) but they were more than welcoming and took excellent care of creed. Thank you very much for all your help and for always going above and beyond and a big thank you to the vets Emma & Clare.
