Community Pet Clinic’s website and the latest reviews describe a specialist-led veterinary referral hospital (Northwest Veterinary Specialists) rather than a routine first-opinion clinic. It’s set up for complex diagnostics and specialist procedures, with on-site MRI, dedicated diagnostic imaging, operating theatres and recovery areas, and it states it provides care 365 days a year. In reviews, owners repeatedly mention clear explanations of tests and procedures, being kept updated while pets are in hospital (including phone calls “when they said they would” and even photos during a stay), and support during stressful handovers (including reception staff offering a hug and a hot drink).

Can't fault my experience with the team. Friendly and supportive. They dealt with my dog quickly and explained everything thoroughly.

Everyone was so kind and helpful when I had to bring my dog Ozzy there for various tests. They talked me thru everything very clearly, even when I got quite upset the vet (Chantal) was happy to repeat things for me and answer all my questions. I didn't get the best outcome I would of liked for my dog after his tests but feel they will do their utmost to help him however they can. Update 9.12.25 - we're back again today for more tests/treatment potentially...can't fault any of the staff, they have been fantastic at every visit. I know Ozzy is in good hands 💜

The vets and receptionists put us at ease straight away. My BC Storm was extremely well looked after and all procedures explained to us and we were kept updated during the time he spent there. They rang when they said they would. All staff were really helpful!

From the reception team to the vets, we truly felt in safe hands throughout our visit. After a string of difficult experiences with our previous vets - including missed findings and misdiagnoses - it was such a relief to be given clear answers and a plan moving forward. We saw Selena, who was incredibly kind, non-judgemental, and thorough. She made me feel both seen and heard, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. The nurse who discharged us was also wonderful - so patient and happy to go over things (more than once!) to make sure we felt confident leaving. As the owner of a reactive dog, I’m sadly used to facing prejudice and judgment. Dougie has been labelled as “too barky” or “a bit much” before, but your team embraced his quirks and energy without hesitation. It meant the world to feel so supported and understood. The only thing I’m still waiting on is a copy of the report, which I’ve chased a couple of times - but as it’s been less than a week, I completely understand these things can take a bit of time. Thank you again for everything - it was such a positive experience for both of us.

From the moment I ran in with my 10 week old puppy to the moment we left I felt safe in the knowledge he was going to well cared for. Gaynor on reception welcomed me with a hug and a cup of tea, which was much needed after a stressful scary journey. We were kept informed all the way through by Luca and the team, seeing photos of our puppy was so reassuring. Thankful he should make a full recovery which I have no doubt was due to the care he received. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Louise, Dave and Bobby 🐾
