Littlecroft Vets, located in Wirral, Cheshire, is a veterinary clinic highly regarded for its emergency services, available 24/7 or during extended hours. The clinic has an overall Google rating of 4.6 stars based on 97 reviews, indicating a generally positive reception among its clientele.
The reviews reveal a mixed picture of customer experiences. Many clients appreciate the clinic's friendly and efficient service. For example, reviewers like Barb Far and Maggie Coathup praise the professionalism and personal touch of the staff, particularly pointing out the kindness and expertise of a vet named Adam. Adam is frequently mentioned for his compassionate care and effective communication, especially in complex cases such as surgeries and health checks.
However, not all reviews are positive. A notable complaint comes from Carley Hogg, who recounts an unpleasant interaction with a receptionist named Paula, describing her as rude and unprofessional. This review also raises concerns about billing transparency, with an initial quoted bill of £197 being reduced to £100.95 upon request for a receipt. Additionally, Carley highlights a misdiagnosis during a pregnancy scan, which could have had severe consequences for her pet.
Despite this, long-term clients like Julie Davies and Lesley Waring express satisfaction with the overall care provided, with Lesley specifically commending Adam for his skill and dedication.
While Littlecroft Vets generally receives high marks, potential clients should be aware of some customer service issues, particularly at the reception. The clinic appears to be a reliable choice for veterinary care, with a focus on compassionate treatment and clear communication, but clarity in billing and better front desk service could enhance client experiences further.

Lovely friendly vet practice. I have just moved to this vets, as it's closer to home and accessible for parking. Receptionist was friendly, there are separate dog and cat waiting areas, which is appreciated. Vet explained everything and was calm and patient. Good communication and clear instructions for follow up. Would recommend.

After how we got spoken to today by Paula we will indeed be switching vets. After asking her to split the bill as we was paying for our puppy and someone else was paying for theirs (brothers) Paula got an attitude and spoke to us like we where children and quite frankly VERY rude. She told us the total was £197… for what we got we thought it was very extreme, so we asked is that for one pup or them all. And she got really rude with me saying she doesn’t understand me. She then shouted the nurse in and I asked her who was lovely and said yes it’s for them both. But we still didn’t understand how it’s £197? So my partner asked if he heard it right. She then in a very snotty and childish tone went ‘YES one nine seven pounds’ so my partner then of course asked for a receipt to which then it was suddenly £100.95? So if we didn’t ask for a receipt to see what we were paying for it would have been £197? Very rude. And shouldn’t be at front desk if you can’t have people skills. I get people have a bad day but her attitude always stinks when we’re in there. She’s not welcoming whatsoever and just frankly RUDE. We should of saw the red flags when we went in the vets to get our female dog scanned for her pregnancy and it was an intern on her own. and they saw ‘2 puppies’ turns out it was 5 puppies and 2 was twins sharing the same sack which made our female dog very unwell and could of died. With how much we’re paying we expect them to be spot on? Not ‘I think it’s 2’ every person who I know that has had a pregnant female they’ve said how many there are exactly and whether or not they’re twins. They should have noticed it. If they weren’t too busy pinning my dog down. Wouldn’t recommend. It’s all money money money to them. They don’t care about the wellbeing of our dogs.

I have been with little croft vets for at least 10 years and they are very welcoming, great with the animals and very helpful. The only thing I didn't like this visit is the reception has been moved to right by the door which means that while you are waiting to pay you are in the way of people coming in with their pets. This is awkward and could end up in fights between animals.

I have been attending over the last 10 years with both my dogs but have to say the care and attention recently received from Adam was amazing. He diagnosed and operated on Jessie (bladder stone removal) and tenderly treated Bonnie for an eye ulcer. I was so worried , he explained everything to me and answered all my questions. They are now both fully recovered . Adam is lovely , caring and I wouldn’t be surprised if he could walk on water 😂….i have also always found all the staff are pleasant and helpful and would like to say thank you 🐻❄️🐻❄️
